چکیده
In this paper, we derive asymptotic theorems for the Petrin (2002) extension of the Berry, Levinsohn, and Pakes (BLP, 1995) framework to estimate demand-supply models with micro moments. The micro moments contain the information relating the consumer demographics to the characteristics of the products they purchase. With additional assumptions, the extended estimator is shown to be CAN and more efficient than the BLP estimator. We discuss the conditions under which these asymptotic theorems hold for the random coefficient logit model. We implement extensive simulation studies and confirm the benefit of the micro moments in estimating the random coefficient logit model. 1This research is supported in part by the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) 22730246 from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. Optimal Operation of Integrated Energy Systems Considering Demand Response Program
This study presents an optimal framework for the operation of integrated energy systems using demand response programs. The main goal of integrated energy systems is to optimally supply various demands using different energy carriers such as electricity, heating, and cooling. Considering the power market price, this work investigates the effects of multiple energy storage devices and demand res...
متن کاملQueueing Inventory System in a Two-level Supply Chain with One-for-One Ordering Policy
Consider a two-level inventory system consisting of one supplier and one retailer. The retailer faces a Poisson demand with a known rate and applies base stock (one-for-one ordering) policy. That is, his inventory position is set to a pre-determined level, so the demand pattern is transferred exactly to the supplier. The supplier has an inventory system and a service unit with exponentially dis...
متن کاملA hybrid approach to supplier performance evaluation using artificial neural network: a case study in automobile industry
For many years, purchasing and supplier performance evaluation have been discussed in both academic and industrial circles to improve buyer-supplier relationship. In this study, a novel model is presented to evaluate supplier performance according to different purchasing classes. In the proposed method, clustering analysis is applied to develop purchasing portfolio model using available data in...
متن کاملOptimal Manufacturer-Retailer Policies in a Supply Chain with Defective Product and Price Dependent Demand
This study deals with a two-level supply chain consisting of one manufacturer and one retailer. We consider an integrated production inventory system where the manufacturer processes raw materials in order to deliver finished product with imperfect quality to the retailer, where number of defective product has a uniform distribution. The retailer receives product and conducts a 100% inspection....
متن کاملBi-product inventory planning in a three-echelon supply chain with backordering, Poisson demand, and limited warehouse space
In this paper, we apply continuous review (S-1, S) policy for inventory control in a three-echelon supply chain (SC) including r identical retailers, a central warehouse with limited storage space, and two independent manufacturing plants which offer two kinds of product to the customer. The warehouse of the model follows (M/M/1) queue model where customer demands follow a Poisson probabilit...
